GRAVEDONA FIREWORKS

GRAVEDONA FIREWORKS

The night of August 14th in Gravedona is a special event: on the eve of August 15th, in fact, thousands of tourists gather on the Gravedona lakefront with their gaze turned towards the sky, among stalls of typical products and squares animated by music and laughter, waiting to see the colors of the Ferragosto fires explode in the sky, which have always been a magical spectacle for young and old.

The streets of the city come alive with lights and scents and the lake shines with the lights that illuminate the allegorical boats parked in the harbor for a parade that since the end of the Second World War, in 1946, is repeated every year for the joy of those who find themselves in holiday in Gravedona and in the villages of the Alto Lario. Volunteers work hard during the winter to make the boats built still following the tradition of the Larian craftsmen and the parade of allegorical boats is as joyful as that of the floats that run through the city streets at Carnival.

The Lake Festival has distant origins and is still evoked today to commemorate the victory of the Gravedonesi over the Barbarossa, during the festivities the city celebrates the ancient anniversary with stands to visit and it is possible to experience different events every evening in the alleys along the lake or near the center. All this, in maximum safety and fun. The roads are closed and the whole town becomes a pedestrian area where you can walk peacefully with the family without the danger of cars. For the little ones there are the inevitable rides and areas equipped with dedicated activities.

Absolutely unmissable!
