Legnone Mount

Legnone Mount

Monte Legnone (2609 m) is the highest peak of the Orobie Lecchesi.

It is a mountain known and practiced by many lovers of trekking and nature, it offers itineraries suitable for the whole family with beautiful mountain pastures and shelters, while the routes to the summit are recommended for expert hikers.

Monte Legnone is the icon of Lake Como, just think that our ancestors referred to its summit to understand the intentions of the weather: if the summit was surrounded by clouds, the rain would have arrived, otherwise there would have been the sun!
It has always been, and always will remain, the reference point and the symbol of Upper Lake Como thanks to its mysterious charm and the numerous panoramic paths overlooking the lake.
It is possible to climb to the top of Monte Legnone starting from the Griera Refuge (1700 m) or from Roccoli Lorla (1450 m). Once we reach the top we find the summit cross where we can admire a breathtaking view of Valtellina, Lake Como and all its mountains.
A breathtaking path in which to lose track of time, enjoying the beauties that make Monte Legnone a true natural attraction. The path is not always marked with pegs, but well marked and recognizable thanks to the frequent passages.

During the walk the landscape can be steep, but never dangerous; towards the last piece there is a short rope section... but the final show is simply breathtaking!
