If you are planning a visit to Lake Como during this summer, you cannot miss the opportunity to participate in the Marafibrositona.
It is a non-competitive race of 5 km which takes place on the beautiful lakefront of Gravedona ed Uniti, one kilometer from Piccolo Camping, in fact it can be reached not only by public transport, but also on foot and by bicycle.
The event, which this year will present its sixth edition, has become one of the most popular and engaging of the summer. But it's not just a simple sporting event, it's also a great opportunity to do good.In fact, the proceeds from Marafibrositona are donated entirely to the ETS Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, which has been fighting for over 20 years to find a cure for this disease. Thanks to the previous editions, a good 300,000 euros were raised for scientific research.
Not only an opportunity to do free good and share smiles and joy, it is also an event that stands out for its transparency and seriousness in the organization whose members put passion, enthusiasm and a great desire to do everything they do difference to make the event even bigger and more unique.
More than 3,000 people attended last year and even more attendance is expected this year. Exquisite typical food, games for children, music and rides will entertain all visitors and participants after the run.
